I recently spent a delightful weekend at the Pijl, and I have to say, it was a well-rounded experience that neatly balances luxury and value. The spacious rooms feature a flat-screen TV, a cozy settee, and a small table, all while ensuring peace with effective double glazing. I was impressed by the cleanliness and tidiness of the space, which contributed significantly to my restful nights. Plus, the location directly opposite the Mechelen train/bus station makes getting around a breeze. The real standout was the staff. The lady in charge was incredibly welcoming and attentive-she boundlessly helped us with inquiries and created a friendly atmosphere. Dining at the hotel was a treat; I had the best goat cheese salad, and the bar food was surprisingly tasty. It's good to know that the kebab joint next door comes highly recommended for late-night cravings. The Pijl offers a solid value proposition: quality accommodation, convenient location, and attentive service, all without breaking the bank. For savvy travelers like myself, this is definitely a worthy pick for a getaway.
